Mere Christianity

Mere Christianity is a revised and expanded version of three radio talks Lewis gave, and was written, as Lewis explains in the preface, to present the “mere” essence of Christianity; that is, to explain and defend the beliefs common to all Christian denominations. The first section, “Right and Wrong as a Clue to the Meaning of the Universe”, presents a version of the moral argument for the existence of God; the second section, “What Christians Believe”, explains the basics of Christian theology; the third, “Christian Behavior”, is a series of essays on various aspects of Christian life; and the final section, “Beyond Personality”, delves into the doctrines of the atonement and the Trinity.
